I used play dough, let it dry out a little to make it more textured, (wasn’t able to movie it around a lot) but I got some photos and tried editing one, it was hard to edit because the texture was so weird.
With this poster I took the starwars font, then for the smaller font used a basic font in my art studio app, and tried to make it similar to the one used in the movie. Then I added some retro-y looking filters to the photo to make it feel more retro rather than 2014 feeling, because the old starwars came out years ago, not yesterday :)
For the romeo and juliet poster, I went with a grunge look, but kept the old vocabulary because it is similar to the movie poster, it has a modern yet grunge look to it, and in out the Red Cross in the title of romeo and juliet, similar to the one on the poster, and I picked the words “two star crossed lovers take their life” because it sums up the story, two lovers, end up taking their own lives.
For the Walter mitty poster, I picked the simple mod font because I was inspired by the font used on the movie poster, and it used a white paper textured background for the poster, because in the movie he works in an office and is sort- of a messy guy so he would have lots of messy papers, similar to the messy paper look of my poster.
